Talk:KDE/Developing/Guide
From openSUSE
Will these packages be updated for 11.0 soon?
This guide does not allow building on 64 bit systems...
console-kit
What about adding a hint that if you get no sound, it's due to consolekit-devel not being present while compiling and that you need to add -DKDE4_COMMON_PAM_SERVICE=xdm -DKDE4_KCHECKPASS_PAM_SERVICE=xdm
After logging in, one can check whether the consolkit integration worked by using ck-list-sessions and checking that your session has is-local=TRUE. If not you wan't get the necessary ACLs that give your user access to the soundcard. ACLs can be checked via getfacl /dev/dsp. Rabauke 13:15, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
And what should I do when I want to completely isolate KDE development from my installed system???
This stupid guide update qt libraries and other stuff!!! Partially crashing my system!!!
