Have you checked out the "Getting to Know Linux Software" chapter in the 9.3 resp. 10.0 docs? This chapter contains a comprehensive listing of Linux/Windows app equivalents.

The 9.3 version of this chapter can be found at http:/http://www.novell.com/documentation/suse93/pdfdoc/user93-screen/user93-screen.pdf/ and the 10.0 version will be located in /usr/share/doc/manual once the final package gets into the release.

I'd welcome comments/suggestions for improvements to this chapter through Bugzilla.

about mp3

winamp, I guess, don't play mp3 out of the box for the same reason as suse. no free app can do (mp3 is not free)

I know opf french web sites aimed to open source Windows software, I beg there are also english ones. They should be advertised is the article page.

Making people use open source software is a great step in direction of suse Linux. jdd

Suggestion

I suggest that this page be split between "How to Migrate" and "Linux Equivalents". It makes for a cleaner layout.
