this page is beginning to be really hudge. May be we should first define what a HOWTO is? usually a HOWTO is a documentation using several pages/sub pages, as opposite with SDB article or tips & tricks -

The change from Note to Info template is cosmetic.

The change in content is to correct misunderstanding that <name_of_article>+HOWTO will help to sort articles properly in category Howto. It will not, as it is alphabetical sort and it will help only if the first word in the title is the one that describes topic. In all other cases it will fail.

The request to list in Howto index only finished articles is in contradiction with nature of wiki, where suggestion that article should be written is given by making link to missing article.

With HOWTO FAQ is opened article about HOWTO itself, and above jdd's remark is now covered to some extent. Feel free, and in some way obligated, to add Frequently Asked (and Anticipated) Questions to the FAQ.
