Talk:Build Service/Concepts/Notification

From openSUSE

I'm sitting looking at the tags bit and wondering if it might not be useful to wisen up the notification a bit. As an example, if the build fails for reasons the develop might have anticipated, then providing a little more granularity would (possibly) enable them to script build modifications ( this is off the top of the head of a new build service user! Be gentle).

E.g. if the build fails because the scheduler is b0rked, the developer might let it pass but if it fails because the .spec is b0rked, the message client could conceivably play foghorn.ogg and get the poor soul out of bed. This is probably a poor use case, but granularity and meta-data is usually A Good Idea(tm). --JosefAssad 12:13, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
