Software Portal/Enhancements

A list of possible enhancements, considering the Software Portal as in version: http://softwareportal-test.opensuse-community.org

• The lists, in general, should contains a menu letter-clickable (A - B - C .... - Z). A search of specific packages is more quick.

• When going in package details, a go back link should be useful. In general, consider breadcrumbs navigation versus a browser back-button navigation

• External links (project home pages) should open in a new window. This improve the project browsing service, without going in and out from the portal.

• Enable a delete function of screenshots uploaded (maybe by just the same user who uploaded them)

• It shoud be possibile to add a legend to an uploaded image(think if I want to comment a wizard installation panel)

• In the comments to a package, it should be nice to aggregate posts with the same subject (a reply-to function, perhaps)

• Writting in the subject / body comments these characters: <, >, & and double-quote " - now results in visualising the associated entity html: & etc. Is it possible to visualize the real decoded character?

• Too huge fonts on the left side.

• User feedback when changing tabs. If a search term is already present and the user selects another tab (especially files) there is a long wait in which nothing seems to happen.

• Custom list size. Instead of the default 20 there should be a drop down with more values (optionally this should be saved in the users profile).

• Link to 1-click-install wherever appropriate in the application list. This way the user doesn't have to first go in the app description. (For this a smaller 1-click-install should be appropriate).

• Object count in the tag cloud. ie Network(5)

• More search options (Limit to release, x86/x86_64/PPC, repo)
