Setup a WLAN Card

For use with ndiswrapper

1. Start YaST
2. In the YaST Control Center select Software Software Management
3. Search for the ndiswrapper package
4. Select the ndiswrapper and ndiswrapper-kmp-default packages
5. Obtain Windows Drivers
6. Install the Windows Drivers with ndiswrapper
7. In the Yast Control Center select Network Devices, Network Card Configuration
8. For Network Setup Method select User Controlled with Network Manager
9. Add the WLAN Card
10. Scan for available wireless networks (supposing eth1 is your WLAN interface): "iwlist eth1 scan"
11. Enter the ESSID Network Name of the Wireless Network you wish to join, the output of the previous step showed you the available choices and their modes
12. Enter the passphrase
13. Restart Computer
