I did find several references to the source of the problem in bugzilla
but not a solution. Your suggested mount command worked great but I am
not sure how to add that to the fstab. I've tried variations on the
line:
/dev/bus/usb /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0
with no luck.
Try: none /proc/bus/usb usbfs defaults 0 0
