SDB Talk:Radeon

I think this article needs to be updated to work within /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-radeon.conf when it comes to performance tuning. Please check this URL on the ARCH wiki as an example that we might use as an starting point. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ATI#Performance_tuning People who want to tune need a source of information to determine what they can tweak according to their specific AMD/ATI graphical hardware. Therefore I added on the wiki page a link to the xorg wiki where in my opinion these info is to be found. Is this correct? -akaper

good ol' xorg.conf is just split onto many files under /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d and the two are interchangeable. For section "Device" there is /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-device.conf, as well. Perhaps tweaks might go there. Thnx! I wasn't aware of oldcpu's work on this (It never came up in my search efforts(???). How to edit this article is however unclear to me: should we just refer to oldcpu's posts or copy paste the radeon related stuff?

Okay, just finished applying the new wiki style guidelines and a bit of a rewrite. I hope you guys don't mind me barging in like this. But I will soon find out, when it is reviewed. I would like to propose to move the manual tweaking options to the SDB troubleshooting article. Imho this is an article about installation and not about tweaking. And I think this article is a tad too long now -akaper
