SDB Discussion:Starting YaST Online Update from a cron Job or Script

sled 10 /usr/bin/online_update does not exist

I have just recently installed sled 10. I can not find the /usr/bin/online_update command? Ihave the yast2-online-update package installed. When I execute the ./yast2 online_update command the yast gui comes up and none of the online_update options listed on the previoue page work for this command (e.g. -g is not "download and not install", rather it is size of the window the yast gui will open up in). Any help is appreciated.

This article only works up to SUSE Linux 10.0 and SLES 9. SLED 10 uses different tools.

Use the "Automated Online Update" option in the YAST control center to configure it. -Msmeissn
