SDB:VMware 4.x Does Not Build the Kernel Modules

Symptom

You have followed the procedure described in the article:

SDB:Configuration of VMware with SUSE LINUX 9.0

However, when running the script ./runme.pl, the following error message is displayed:

gcc: installation problem, cannot exec `cc1plus': No such file or directory

Cause

The following packages are missing:

gcc-c++
libstdc++-devel

Solution

Install the missing packages with YaST2. Search for 'gcc' and select the package gcc-c++ for installation (the package libstdc++-devel will be automatically selected).
