SDB:Too Little Cache Memory Displayed During the Boot Process
From openSUSE
[edit]
Symptom:
During the boot process, the displayed cache memory is less (approx. 40 KB) than the actual hard disk's cache memory.
[edit]
Cause:
Hard disk manufacturers require some memory for its firmware. The required memory is integrated in the cache, but is officially regarded as cache for disk data.
[edit]
Solution:
Linux displays the actual available cache memory for the disk data. Therefore, the output is correct and no solution can be provided.
