Situation

You want to install the add-on "SUSE LINUX Wine Rack" on your SUSE LINUX 9.0 system.

Procedure

The following steps are required for the installation:

1. Insert the Wine Rack CD-ROM in your drive.
2. Start the YaST Control Center and select:
   • Software
   • Change Source of Installation
3. Press "Add" and select the source type "CD" or "DVD".
4. Press "Close" after the entry "Wine Rack 1.0" is displayed in the list of source media.
5. Open the dialog "Install and Remove Software" in the YaST Control Center.
6. Choose "Selections" in "Filter" (upper left).
7. The list displayed under this selection field must include, among others, the following entries from the Wine Rack CD-ROM:
   • crossover-office
   • crossover-plugin
   • WineX3
   • MarbleBlast
8. Select the Wine Rack CD components to install and press "Accept" (lower right).

CrossOver

After the installation, all CrossOver-Office and CrossOver-Plugin components together with some additional documentation can be found in the "CrossOver" section in the KDE menu. When reading the documentation, bear in mind that the installation instructions for CrossOver do not apply to you as a user of the SUSE LINUX Wine Rack CD-ROM!

WineX3

This specific WINE version from TransGaming Technologies is available in the "Games" section in the KDE menu under the name "TransGaming Point2Play Version 1.1.2".
