Symptom
SUSE LINUX 9.0 ignores the entries in the file ~/.xsession.

Cause
SUSE LINUX 9.0 only considers entries in the file ~/.xinitrc.

Solution
Write the content of the file ~/.xsession to the file ~/.xinitrc.
