Symptom
The automatic dial-up connection (DoD) only works the first time or does not work at all.

Cause
A superfluous entry in the script /etc/ppp/ip-up.

Solution
Disable the call 'run_ifdown' at the end of the script /etc/ppp/ip-up by inserting a comment sign before it or update to the available patch by way of YOU.
