SDB:How to switch to Gnome classic menu in openSUSE 10.2
From openSUSE
Situation
After installation of openSUSE 10.2 with GNOME one of first things you can notice is completely new GNOME Menu, designed with new approach. However not everyone has to like this design. If you are one of these who are missing classic menu, you can easily switch to the old design (with Application, Places and System buttons).
Procedure
Once GNOME is started, menu loaded, click the Computer button with your right mouse button and then select 'Remove from Panel' in the context menu. Once you have removed the button, you can right-click on the panel where the Computer button used to be, and select 'Add to Panel' The item which represents classic GNOME menu is called 'Menu Bar'. Once you have chosen it you should see old style GNOME menu on your panel.
If you will decide in the future to give another try to new GNOME Menu, remove from panel the old one and add 'Main Menu'.
