Symptom

When you try to resize a partition by means of the YaST Partitioner, the size of the partition increases excessively (from GB to TB).

Cause

The conversion from megabytes to gigabytes does not work properly.

Solution

If the problem arises during the installation, install the YaST Resizer update. An update is available for the Intel/AMD 32-bit (ix86) and AMD64 (x86_64) architectures.

  • Boot with the first installation CD or DVD until you reach the stage where you can choose among several installation types.
