It was dropped because the maintainer does not maintain it anymore, and it has no UTF-8 support which is required in modern times. --Msmeissn |

Why was this dropped? It's awesome. The only complaint I have heard about it is it being insecure, but if that's the case, just put a warning label on it that people should only do it over SSH. mikedep333 It needs to be accessed over the web... Thats why its called "webmin". And it configurations is not aligned with YaST and SUSE methods of sysconfig handling last time we checked. -Msmeissn |

It was dropped several versions ago (openSUSE 10.2?) from the main repositories. It is available in the additional educational repository, which isn't where I'd look for it. This is an actively developed program for advanced web editing, and should be restored to the main repositories in future releases (11.1).
