Launch Desktop for Linux
The Launch Desktop for Linux is currently in development. It (will be) an easy-to-use desktop directed towards people new to linux, while giving advanced users and developers complete control over the system.

Features
- Security Center - A security center to monitor anti-virus/anti-spyware, updates, firewalls and other security settings. [IN DEVELOPMENT]
- Advanced Firewall - A per-application firewall that alerts you when programs attempt to access the internet, and give you the option to allow or deny them.
- Application Manager - A centeral database of the application installed on your computer and access to remove/configure them. Distibuters of linux can modify shell scripts that the system uses to update application lists and install/remove/modify software.
- Administrator Overrides - A feature which allows the root (Administrator) to override user settings (e.g. Background image). This is very useful for offices and school networks.
- Launch Display Manager - A display manager which users can login either to a domain or local computer, and can login by providing a fingerprint (for laptops with that functionality), or clicking their picture and entering their password.
- Sidebar - A sidebar to monitor CPU usage, email, RSS feeds and other useful tools/information.
