• File search: Beagle or Strigi (Change the default backend for strigi?) (?)
• Make it very easy and automatic for the user to send useful crash reports. For example, at the first crash of an application, try to install the -debug package from the repository. Then, at the next crash, generate the report and just ask the user "Send" "Don't send". Nothing more, the user should not be expected to perform a more complicated procedure. Packages in the UNSTABLE repositories should include -debug packages by default. This was WIP for 11.1, but was not completed for final release.
• Include KMPlayer. KMPlayer supports using Phonon instead of MPlayer, doesn't this make it possible to include it in the distro? ..and thus greatly improve multimedia capabilities, especially of Konqueror. (kmplayer in KDE:KDE4:Community) (?)
• Ipod ready application with distro... or which ever mp3 player (?)
• DONE Oxygen icons for application menu categories (Bug #439015)

Branding

• Revise greeter text, write new KDE4 introduction (Bille)

Please check first if existent in KDE 4.2 and if not file/vote enhancement requests upstream for KDE 4.3.

• Plasma: Adapt panel sizes when using roaming profile with different monitors
• HAL: Mount options tab in removeable devices' properties (Bug #383176)
• Wallpaper changing depending on time of day (look at Mandriva patch, seems it was only for KDE3)
• Install bogofilter with kmail, to have spam-filtering.
• Search box in classic menu
• A simple/intuitive way of adding "custom" plasma shortcuts to the panel or desktop. (shortcuts for items which don't already exist in kickoff/classic menu) -- and a drag icon to panel too add it feature, like other operating systems.
• Dolphin/konq service menu for selecting wallpapers (right click image -> Use as wallpaper)
• A right click mouse feature that opens the Terminal in which ever folder the gui is pointed to, like there is in Nautilis, without having to go through "Run Command" features.

• remove PulseAudio as default sound system. It is painful to use and even more painful to remove. Most users disklike or hate it. (At least make it optional during installation because the average Joe would encounter only troubles with it [-> make openSUSE ready to use out of the box!!!!]).
