Knotify crashes all the time. What to do?

First, go to the KDE Control Center (Alt+F2 --> kcontrol), and there to Sound & Multimedia/Sound system

You have two choices:

• If you want system notifications:

Set the audio system to jack, and run the jack server whenever you use KDE.

• If you don't want any system sounds:

Disable the soundsystem by unticking the box "Start Soundserver with KDE".

Go to kcontrol/Sound & Multimedia/System Notifications, and disable System messages altogether by ticking "Apply to all applications", and clicking the "Turn Off All" button (right to that the combo box should show "Sounds").

Optionally, go to kcontrol/Sound & Multimedia/Sound Bell, and tick "Use system bell instead of system notification".
