Ignuit is a flashcard learning system


About

Ignuit is a memorization aid based on the Leitner flashcard system. It has a GNOME look and feel, a good selection of quiz options, and supports UTF-8. It can be used for both long-term learning and cramming.

Although program is in early stage of development, all the basic features are in place. Please, send to author any feedback about the program and any problems you have with it.


Installing and configuring

Ignuit can import and export several file formats:

  • CSV
  • pauker
  • granule

New features roadmap

High priority features:

  • Right-click context menus.
  • Support for HTML and/or wiki-like markup.
  • More editor dialog features (including undo/redo).
  • Support for attachments (audio, video).
  • Some way to visualize progress (e.g. a graph).
  • Nested categories.

Medium priority features:

  • An optional (and more efficient) scheduling system by Dariusz Laska.
  • Notification icon to launch a quiz when there are expired cards.
  • Support for regular expressions in the Find dialog.
  • Spell-checking.
