| AMILO Si2636 | 10.3 OSS | Webcam: the standard driver which is chosen for the webcam doesnt work, not even with the newest kernel, not even when compiling it from the repository. Have to dig into this more, the webcam manufacturer is Bison. CUPS: had to instal hplip drivers to install the printer (Hp Photosmart c3100). Didnt work out of the box. | Works quite well, stuff like no frequency stepping and not working webcam can be survived, but it is a shame that the networkmanager configuration bug has still not been repaired. User:gnd | |||||||
| AMILO M3438G | 10.1 / 10.2 OSS | Power management notes: CPU/GPU fan is always on! Please see bug [3]. Multimedia keys work if you choose "A4Tech KB-21" keyboard in xkb/KDE switcher. SD/MMC/MS card reader works well (it's USB-connected device, no extra drivers needed). Internal modem is smartlink one, but it doesn't work without non-oss smartlink kernel module (in ALSA mode), because there's no ALSA module for it. snd-intel8x0m doesn't handle this chipset (82801FB) | Everything works as expected except fan, volume control and modem in ALSA mode. User:Lavrinenko | |||||||
| AMILO D7830 | 9.3 / 10.0 OSS | internal modem working with slmodem driver | Installation is without a glitch. Eveyrthing is configured during installation. - User:GoksinAkdeniz | |||||||
| AMILO L1310G | 10.1 | The worst Suse installation I've ever been through since Version 4 or something. Not having a Gui right out of the box is ridiculous - we're living 2006, not 1992. --Ufuchs 11:10, 2 June 2006 (UTC) | ||||||||
| AMILO M1437G | 10.0 / 10.2 | 5-button touchpad, infrared remote, USB ports fully supported | Everything works out of the box, 3D video works with ATI installer (on 10.2 also 3D video works out of the box) | |||||||

| AMILO M7400 | 10.3 | had to install acerhk manually and add "modprobe acerhk" and "echo on > echo on > /proc/driver/acerhk/wirelessled " to /etc/init.d/boot.local. have a look here | --User:simonschmeisser | |||||||

| AMILO Pro V2020 | 9.3 | suspend to RAM untested | Special buttons (email, browser) don't work. | Works great, YaST properly detected and configured all the hardware at installation except for the LCD resolution/frequency. --Madmatt04 00:41, 3 Sep 2005 (MDT) | ||||||
| AMILO Pro V2065 | 10.3 | Internal modem is not installed automaticly by YaST, but it works fine with "SmartLink-Softmodem" in ALSA-Mode. | No problems ! Only modem installation is a little bit tricky and LCD resolution/frequency needs to be selcted manually. --SchaeferF 16:36, 12 Feb 2008 (MDT) | |||||||
| Amilo Pi 1505 | 10.1 | nice laptop after troublesome WLAN configuration | ||||||||
| Amilo Pi 1536 | 10.1, 10.2 | suspend to disk works, suspend to RAM works, but you have to set SUSPEND2RAM_FORCE="yes" in /etc/sysconfig/powersave/sleep (10.1) or S2RAM_OPTS="-f" in /etc/pm/config (10.2) | Special buttons work with kernel 2.6.21(other not tested yet):MUSIC,MAIL,INFO,COOLER(set powersave mode) | looks like a nice notebook, but cannot be run on older SUSE releases; hardware seems to be a bit flaky though: HD failed after 1 year, loose connection in power supply | ||||||

| Lifebook S7110 | 10.3 OSS Final | | | | | | | LCD brightness control does not work because of bug 260675. rm -f /etc/modprobe.d/xorg-x11-driver-video temporarily solves the issue. | -- User:lpechacek, 10:58, 13 Feb 2008 (UTC) | |
