Let we agree about names
It would be nice if we could use all nice words in normal vocabulary to describe what we want to do with photo and what GIMP functions to use, but than it will take long time to write directions. To make it shorter we should use words that graphic trade invented to make conversation short, but then we need to agree what those words mean. GIMP Vocabulary will try to give explanation, but for now we need only few of them. Here is crash course.

Change size
| Problem: You have very large photo that will take forever to send via email. You want to make it smaller. |
| Solution: Use Image - Resize |

Crop
| Problem: Your photo shows a lot more than what you want to present. You want to cut out superficial part of the image that spoil impression. |

Sharpen
| Problem: You scanned your old photos, but some images are not really sharp. You want to improve them. |

Smudge
| Problem: You have scanned an image but wish to smudge it. |

Fill Image
| Problem: You have an image but you want to entirely fill it with colour. |

| Problem: You have an image and you want to zoom in or out. |
