Frontpage redesign/List of Proposal Pages

The purpose of this page is to make an index for new proposals, so that everybody can create real, working proposal, elements, like background images and banners, define menu items, add ideas to the existing proposals and team up work on a new design.

The German Proposal

It looks much like the present en Main Page, with different right hand frame, and many useful links when you scroll page down. Click here for the original.

The French Main Page

The point is simple left side frame with menus. Lesser menus here can help the navigation. Present en.opensuse.org has many items and one has to scroll for categories every time.

This is not a proposal for a new page, just a small fix for better layout still keeping most of the actual english layout. French users where asked to give advices and that where mostly good.

Make it Simple

• This uses better left side menus and the top of the screen. The aim was just to improve navigation for new users and editors, without touching the rest.

Make the Portal Simple

The main idea was to make some simple graphic, that can home few menu items.

Number of categories presented trough front page could be increased, but not to much as details belong to the second level.

• A second level of menus should be targeted to the users, developers, general openSUSE themes or geared to serve the best wiki editors.

Wikipedia Like Front Page

Display of language wikis in the traditional WikiMedia style. Should be used as a hub for opensuse.org or www.opensuse.org, in addition of real front page.

Splash Screen Like

Familiar to every SUSE Linux user.

Splash a la chameleon

It is not necessary to copy all from big brother. The chameleon will work too.

This might help to maintain same look and feel across domain opensuse.org

This is no frills splash. It looks good in main part of the screen too.

Lesser links and redundant information.
