First time writer to the the wiki

This is for first time writer, that is any people never having used this wiki and wanting to create a page.

The most current case is a mailing list user having found a solution and wanting to share it with all the openSUSE community writing it on the wiki.

Very first step

Go to the wiki :-)) and choose you langage wiki. If you can write in english, it's better to write there, because most translators start from the english wiki. Of course if you can also write to your own language wiki, do so and be thanked for that :-).

Second step

Login. If you don't know what this mean, here the way:

On any page, at the top right of the window, you see this:

Clic on "create an account", you come here:

Go create a new account, clicking here:

Fill the form, you are done.

Third step:you have your page!

Now you have your own wiki page. Return to the wiki and follow the same step to login, then look at the top right part of any wiki page:

Now you can go to your page and begin typing things in. Good idea is to write two or three lines to present yourself.

Final step: writing a page

Once on your own page, you can see at the top left:

Clicking on "edit" give you to a new page with a typing window:

It's very simple to work: don't bother to the layout, type as you want, just let a blank line between paragraphs (in the typing window).

Don't forget to save your work:

Creating a new page

It's enough to type a name (any sentence is accepted, or nearly), included in [[name of the page]]. Once saved, the name is seen in red. Clic on it and start immediately editing.
