Applications for education

Applications for education are one of the weak spots in the Linux community. What's needed may or may not be understood by those who might be able to program replacements or port existing programs. If we are missing some application, feel free to add a link and a short introduction on the Wishlist Education site.

We decided to split the already available packages in two areas:

• Education/Applications/Desktop - these applications are designed to run on a linux desktop. So these packages are designed for endusers like teachers or children.
• Education/Applications/Server - contains applications which are designed to run on a linux server. Some of them are for the school infrastructure, some are additional applications that can be accessed by teachers and students using a webbrowser.

The lists above are subsets of the packages already available for the distribution! If you use additional applications, please add them.
