Requirements
- Common Unix Printing System (CUPS) is installed (and should be in most Linux distributions)
- You are using RPMS downloaded from Brother's website
- You are using a USB connection to your printer

Tested SUSE versions
- SLED 9
- OpenSUSE 11.0
- OpenSUSE 11.1

Step 1
Allow your printer to be detected and download drivers:
- Plug in your printer and make it is turned on. Then click the OK button.
- Download brhl2040lpr-2.0.1-1.i386.rpm and cupswrapperHL2040-2.0.1-1.i386.rpm.
- Click here to download brhl2040lpr-2.0.1-1.i386.rpm
- Click here to download cupswrapperHL2040-2.0.1-1.i386.rpm

Step 2
Install and configure the drivers:
- Right click brhl2040lpr-2.0.1-1.i386.rpm and click Open with Install Software and then right click cupswrapperHL2040-2.0.1-1.i386.rpm and click Open with Install Software.

- Goto YaST and click Hardware > Printers and then click OK and you're done! You should be able to print straight away.
