Introduction and Biography
As you see - my name's Jakub Rusinek.
I'm a teenager (16 since July, 25th) from Poland, who
- fixes typos on en.opensuse.org and pl.opensuse.org;
- cares a bit about SUSE article in Polish Wikipedia;
- maintains home:liviopl oBS project with packages, I missed;
- collaborates in maintaing gnome-do @ Mono:Community in oBS;
- actively fils any bugs, he notices (@ b.gnome.o, b.novell.c, b.webkit.o, b.opencompositing.o, launchpad.n and more);
- actively shares his ideas for improving open source software;
- helps a little bit with translation (Decibel, GNOME Do...)
- hangs a smaller bit on #suse, #opensuse-buildservice, #opensuse-gnome, #opensuse-chat or #suse.pl;
- follows few planets (Fedora, openSUSE, Ubuntu, GNOME) - news from communities.
I'm using openSUSE since... Januar? It may be so. Why do I began to be so active so fast? I see potential in openSUSE and I want its community openSUSE's quality to grow.
What do I used before? I used Fedora. When I used Fedora, is was younger and more stupid. I grow up. A larger bit.

Major Issues
I've found some issues I would like them to go away.
[edit]
As a distribution
- mess in documentation (for example outdated Packaging guidelines);
- problems with defining upstream for projects, introduced by openSUSE and "moved" from openSUSE (like gnome-main-menu) - making things better by working together;
[edit]
As a project
- lack of unity - many communities exist and they do not want to collaborate or they do not know, how.
[edit]
Minor Issues
Let's think...
[edit]
As a distribution
- users do not reporting that something doesn't work or should be better - I was the one and it wasn't easy to begin with bugzilla(s) - that experience must be avoided for new users.
[edit]
As a project
- bad promotion by Novell (this may sound bad, but since Novell is corporation, it has money and money is the key to the popularity - you know, advertisements)
[edit]
Role of the board
Let's think one more time...
Board's goal is to resolve conflicts and so on.
Board needs to be heard and to be respected and liked because collaboration with other Members.

Aims/Goals
I would like to
- help create better documentation and user guides for openSUSE (installation, configuration, utilisation);
- help with promotion of openSUSE in Poland;
- help with resolving major issues blogged by advanced users (they do not file bugs);
- and... no I didn't forgot our goals :) .
And my personal goal is...
- promoting openSUSE (or wider - Linux) in my class - we are studying in high school with math-informatic profile with Linux (concrete: openSUSE) and making my friends interested in Linux and probably using it at home and improving, would be great. Since they are absolute newbies, they will tell me, what is bad, and I will note everything ;) .
Huh, that supposed to be short. Sorry, I wish you good lecture ;) .
