SUSE Linux 10.0 was released on Thurday, October 6, 2005. It is the first release of the openSUSE project with an open development process. SUSE Linux 10.0 featured a faster boot process, AmaraOK, Novell AppArmor, and public beta testing. It was succeeded by SUSE Linux 10.1 on Thursday, May 11, 2006.

SUSE Linux 10.0 reached its End of Lifetime on November 30, 2007. All users are strongly recommended to upgrade to a currently supported openSUSE release. SUSE Linux 10.0 is still available on EOL mirrors.

SUSE Linux 10.0 included the following packages:

  • KDE 3.4.2
  • OpenOffice.org 1.9.125 (with 2.0 available via YaST Online Update)
  • GNOME 2.12.0.1
  • Linux Kernel 2.6.13
