On Thursday, October 4, 2007 openSUSE 10.3 was released. openSUSE 10.3 brought updates to the KDE and GNOME stacks, XFCE support, improved multimedia support, virtualisation improvements, desktop effect improvements, KDE 4 Preview, and other various software updates. openSUSE 10.3 was succeeded on June 19, 2008 by openSUSE 11.0.

Official maintenance has ended for openSUSE 10.3 on November 16, 2009. All users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to a currently maintained openSUSE release. openSUSE 10.3 can still be downloaded at EOL mirrors.

openSUSE 10.3 included the following packages:

  • OpenOffice.org 2.3
  • Linux Kernel 2.6.22.5
  • XFCE 4.4.1
  • Firefox 2.0.0.6
