BoF session planning for oSC
Hi!
On this page we organize BoF sessions (open, semi-structured discussions about specific topics) in advance for the Bootstrapping Awesome event. Read the Conference Speaker Guidelines on Discussions to find out how we're doing this and check out this news.opensuse article to learn about what a BoF session is and how to organize one.
We will schedule BOF/Discussion sessions only until 2 PM (14:00) and leave the rest of the afternoon open for scheduling at the venue! So if your BOF doesn't fit in the schedule you can schedule it directly at the location. There will be a big whiteboard in the main hall for this purpose.
Scheduling
The sessions can be scheduled in 1 hour slots. You can book 2 hours but we remind you that after talking about something for more than hour, everything has been said and if there are still disagreements, they probably won't be going away by simply talking longer. It's better to keep discussions at 1, at most 2 hours. Longer leads to little unless you happen to have a very long agenda.
Also, of course the day doesn't end at 17:00, as you can also see in our schedule. However, we'd like to reserve that time for now so we can use it if needed for something. If you run out of space, let us know (we'll monitor this page of course).
Scheduling on the wiki will be closed every day on the morning, use paper sheets at the BoF rooms to make reservations during the conference.
